The requirements of the German Road Traffic Licensing Regulations are met: 
Art. 4.3 of the DEKRA survey report on 13.02.2009 (Report number A08121163-01) "The German Road Traffic Licensing Regulations (StVZO) describes in §54 and §56 the requirements concerning mirrors and indicators. We conclude that the requirements of the StVZO regarding vehicle operation and traffic safety are met if the following points are fulfilled: The mirror flag has to be mounted securely. The movability of the mirror must not be impaired. Indicator lights in the side mirrors must not be covered. The visible mirrored surface must not be diminished by mounting the mirror flag. Secure mounting of the mirror flag was verified during the test. The instructions contain a warning that side mirrors with a tapered bracket are a prerequisite for a secure fixture of the mirror flags." Art. 5 "Vehicle operation and traffic safety is not impaired by mounting the mirror flags if the warnings are heeded. The requirements according to the German Road Traffic Licensing Regulations (StVZO) are met.
