I am generally very happy with my new car (Octavia 2014 1.8 TSI DSG). With a firm pedal-pressure I found the throttle respons more than sufficient, but with small pedal adjustments or merging with a gap in traffic it initially feels numb. After five months I still found the initial respons from the throttlepedal too slow. I reckon it is related to the the software adapting to the recent driving style, as a more aggressive driving-pattern increases the pedal-sensitivity. For my own sake I want the throttle-pedal to be this sensitive all the time, leaving me the option to drive with a light foot for eco or instant respons with a few cm of pedal-movement. The pedalbox turned out to be exactely what I was missing. Now the throttlerespons is crisp at all times, even after several km with eco-driving.
